Matt Good Cuts Lawn

Matthew Good has purchased a lawn trimmer and assembled it in order to landscape his yard.

The Canadian songwriter was so eager to try out the Weed Wacker that he took it from the privacy of his backyard to the front, where he proceeded to chop down unwanted plants while still in his pajamas.

Good has discovered a newfound interest in landscaping machinery since moving into his own house — the first time he's lived in one since the late 1980s — and wrote in a blog post on Tuesday that he's "never had the delightful opportunity to immerse myself in the wonderful world of landscaping and garden tools."

He may be a late bloomer as far as lawn care goes, but Good is confident he possesses the "intrinsic male fascination with all things mechanical, especially garden equipment."

"Last night — and I'm not kidding — I actually dreamed of yard blowers, rider mowers, chainsaws, power washers, and a whole host of other fun gadgets that, according to my subconscious, I desperately want to get my filthy paws on," wrote Good.

"There was a time that I was like that with guitars," he reminisced. "But having found and purchased most of the guitars that I've been after for the last decade and a half, a void has obviously been left.

"Thus, I have come to the conclusion that I will fill that void with high tech garden machinery so that I can stand around with my neighbour and talk about how awesome we are."

In other news, Matt Good is still unimpressed with the Junos, got a cat, and is working on his next album, titled Vancouver.

You can catch the perpetually awesome Good in his front yard Saturday mornings, comparing Weed Wackers with the Joneses.

You call this news? ChartAttack has become a cesspool of very bad journalism with stories like these! And how can you comment on Matt Good's lawn when you haven't even seen him cut it yourself? You are going to have to eat your words when Matt Good's lawn becomes famous. And you're probably just jealous because Matt Good's lawn didn't sleep with you. You all probably wanted to be lawns or lawn mowers when you grew up, but you failed, so now you're just stupid, so-called journalists.

wow. he sure can't tell when someone is making fun of him.i guess when your head is buried up your Hoo Haa that far it's hard to see the world laughing at you. everyone is glad this humanitarian and rights activist is mowing lawns for peace. if his leaked demos are any indication of his future,we'll see him mow a ton more lawns.

kudos to chart for giving him some press where others ignore him.

awww Matt removed the link to the post because he can't control the comments....
where are the "make no mistake"s and legal threats?
i guess he doesn't want the zombies seeing that in the real world outside his pontification zone, no one takes him seriously anymore.

or maybe he's just mowing his lawn in his new suburban nightmare digs.

a bunch of us are taking a collection up and want to see Matt mow a golf course on one of those big "ride 'em" mowers.
we will pay him 10,000 dollars. there's a catch;

he can't talk about the fact that he is a nutjob, mental health, prescription drugs, yodel like a goat, throw a tantrum because he is misunderstood in the press, his sales are bad because canada has a big conspiracy going against him etc etc etc.

OH and the golf course in question said he might have to lose some weight and stay off the meds for a few days, otherwise it's all cool.
no whinging allowed, with or without guitar.

the offer stands.
