Tool Announce Toronto Show

Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan must have torn himself away from his organic food and wine business because the band have firmed up that North American tour, which will bring them to Toronto's Molson Amphitheatre on Aug. 5.
Keenan, guitarist Adam Jones, bassist Justin Chancellor and drummer Danny Carey will take their brand of alt-prog-metal across the country from mid-July to early August. The tour will conclude with Tool's headline appearance at this year's Lollapalooza in Chicago.
Tickets for the Toronto date go on sale on Friday at 5 p.m. through Ticketmaster, Live Nation and the Molson Amphitheatre box office. They'll run you $42.50, $54.50 and $69.50.
There's a good chance Tool could play some new material on this tour. Jones told Guitar World magazine the band had been working on new songs earlier this year, but it's not known when an album could be released.
Tool's last album was 2006's 10,000 Days. Were they to release its follow-up this year, it'd be downright speedy for them, since they have a track record of releasing discs every five years. 10,000 Days was preceded by Lateralus in 2001.
