Nickelback Added To MMVAs Lineup

You had to figure this announcement was coming, so let's just get it out of the way: Nickelback have been added to the list of performers at this year's MuchMusic Video Awards.

Singer/guitarist Chad Kroeger, guitarist Ryan Peake, bassist Mike Kroeger and drummer Daniel Adair join previously announced performers Jonas Brothers (who will also co-host the event), Lady GaGa, Alexisonfire, Billy Talent, Black Eyed Peas, Classified, Kelly Clarkson, Rise Against and Shiloh.

Nickelback lead the list of this year's MuchMusic Video Awards nominees with five nods. Their "Gotta Be Somebody" clip is up for best video, best MuchLOUD rock video, a UR FAVE video award and best post-production, while the video for "If Today Was Your Last Day" has been nominated for best international video by a Canadian artist or group.

If you absolutely have to get in to this event, you can try and get a wristband on June 13 at 8 a.m. at Toronto's MuchMusic headquarters. Come early and bring a donation for the Daily Bread Food Bank.

The MuchMusic Video Awards air live from MuchMusic Headquarters at 9 p.m. EST. The red carpet special goes live to air an hour earlier.
