Nas Vs. Newfoundland

Nas failed to show up for a gig he was scheduled to play at Jack Byrne Arena in Torbay, Nfld. on Thursday night with Kardinal Offishall, and the audience wasn't very happy about it.
The audience waited for about an hour for Nas to take the stage after Offishall's performance,
according to local radio station VOCM.
CBC News reports the crowd got "out of control" and at least three people were arrested. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said more people were arrested on alcohol-related charges.
"By 10:30 [p.m.], Nas still hadn't taken the stage and it started to become obvious he wasn't coming," reporter Zach Goudie says in a CBC News article.
"There was a lot of beer can throwing... and very quickly the police were called in by security."
VOCM reports the promoter, ODC Productions, said Nas was in the province, but failed to perform because of a financial dispute with Halifax's LUX Entertainment.
ODC Productions told the radio station that they "don't anticipate refunds will be available" to those who attended the show.
Nas will release an album with Damian Marley called Distant Relatives on June 23.
Assuming Nas actually shows up, you can see him at the Indian Lookout Country Club in Mariaville, N.Y. on July 17.
