American Express has suspended Courtney Love's credit cards and is suing her for $352,059.67 U.S. (about $392,000 Canadian) for unpaid balances, damages, late charges and lawyer's fees.
The company said in court papers filed in Los Angeles that Love "failed and refused" to make the payments owed to it.
Love may have been too out of it to remember to pay her bills. Or maybe Ryan Adams was using her credit cards again. Or perhaps it was yet another person using her identity to steal her money. Or could she have blown the millions of dollars she's earned and inherited from late husband Kurt Cobain and can't afford to pay her AmEx bills?
Love hasn't blogged about this latest lawsuit yet. But Austin, Texas fashion designer Dawn Simorangkir sued love for libel in March over derogatory statements the singer/musician/actress posted on the internet about Simorangkir and her Boudoir Queen designs, and Love was blogging about her again on Saturday (we think).
Love's latest MySpace blog post mentions Boudoir Queen, the Etsy.com website that sells Simorangkir's clothes and a box from Toronto with a bunch of BlackBerrys in it. See if you can make any sense of it.
