Neil Young's Great Canadian Tune

Neil Young's "Helpless" has been voted as the Luminato Toronto Festival Of Arts + Creativity's "Great Canadian Tune."
Luminato organizers asked Canadians to vote for one of 10 songs to be played in an attempt to break the world record for largest guitar ensemble as part of this year's Luminato festival.
A five-minute version of "Helpless," which was most famously recorded by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young for their 1970 Deja Vu album, and its tablature will be posted on the Luminato website on Saturday at 9 a.m. Guitarists who learn the song can register at Yonge-Dundas Square on June 6 at 2 p.m.
Justin Rutledge, Kim Stockwood and a new Toronto collective called The Heartbroken will play the runner-up tunes starting at 4 p.m.
Guitarists will then try to break the Guinness World Record for the world's largest guitar ensemble. The title is currently held by Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany, where 1,802 guitarists played Deep Purple's "Smoke On The Water" in 2007.
Luminato is an annual Toronto arts festival held for 10 days in June that showcases classical and contemporary music, film, literature, visual arts, design, theatre and dance. This year's event will be held from June 5 to 14.
