Phish Return With Single, Album

Phish fans should have plenty of chances to get busted this summer. The band just released a new single and plan to drop an album on July 28, and will support it on tour this summer.

The single, "Time Turns Elastic," is available on iTunes now and was originally a collaboration between singer/guitarist Trey Anastasio and composer Don Hart. You can hear it on their MySpace page.

The 13-minute track premiered on Sept. 27, 2008 in Nashville with a classical orchestra. Billboard.com reports an orchestral version of the track, which will feature Anastasio performing with the Northwest Sinfonia, will be released on June 9. You can pre-order it through Phish's website.

The track will appear on the band's first album since 2004's Undermind, which they're working on in New York City with producer Steve Lillywhite (U2, Dave Matthews Band). The disc is still untitled, though it could end up being tagged Party Time or Light (Yellow), according to internet rumours.
