Meg White Married In Jack's Backyard

Backyards are the perfect place for cozy wedding ceremonies and awkward family reunions. Jack White's backyard was the setting for both when he hosted his ex-wife and White Stripes bandmate Meg White's wedding at his Nashville home last Friday.
The recently engaged Meg White wed Jackson Smith, a guitarist and the son of Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Patti Smith and the late MC5 guitarist Fred "Sonic" Smith. The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather bassist "Little" Jackie Lawrence married girlfriend Jo McCaughey at the same ceremony.
The gathering was an intimate one, with The Associated Press reporting that only a small group of close friends and relatives were in attendance.
"Reverend Benjamin Swank" — who we're guessing was likely former Soledad Brothers drummer and White musical associate Benjamin "Swank" Smith — officiated the ceremony.
They may not be brother and sister, but Jack and Meg White (or is that Smith now?) get along like family and have begun recording a new White Stripes album.
We're not sure yet what to say about the relationship between Jack and The Dead Weather/The Kills frontwoman Alison Mosshart, but they'll be hitting the road together for these shows in support of the July 14 release of The Dead Weather's Horehound debut:
