Virgin Festival Montreal Adds More Artists

Eight more acts have been added to the Virgin Festival Montreal lineup.

Former Canadian Idol contestant Carly Rae Jepsen, MuchMusic DisBand group and recent Universal Music Canada signees Stereos and Juno Award-nominated R&B singer Kreesha Turner will take the stage at Parc Jean-Drapeau on Ile Ste-Helene on June 19.

Hip-hop dance troupe Jabbawockeez, singer/songwriter Jesse McCartney, ex-Sky guy and annoying Toto remake shiller Karl Wolf, former Moist frontman David Usher and Mont-Royal singer Jonathan Roy have been added to the festival the next day.

Four more artists are still to be named to join the previously announced Black Eyed Peas, Simple Plan, Hedley, The New Cities and Eva Avila on Friday, and New Kids On The Block, Akon, Live, LIGHTS and Divine Brown on Saturday.

Two-day, one-day and VIP tickets are on sale through the Bell Centre box office, select Future Shop locations, Future Shop's website, Gillett Entertainment Group or by phone. Two-day tickets run $133.50, one-day passes cost $75 and weekend VIP passes are $313.50.

Virgin Festivals will also be held in Halifax, Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta this summer.
