People have been known to get pretty tanked at Elliott Brood shows, and you can expect a few dolts with six-pack boxes on their head throwing devil horns when the band play a hometown show as part of Toronto's Festival Of Beer on Aug. 9.
This year's beer fest runs from Aug. 6 to 9 at a new and larger location at Exhibition Place's Bandshell Park. Fort York will be missed, but Saturday is already sold out, so the organizers must know what they're doing.
No bands have been officially announced to be playing the event on the festival's website, but Elliott Brood let the cat out of the bag by including the date on their site.
We can pretty much guarantee that George Kash will come on stage and guzzle beers while he stands on his head a few times during the festival.
Here are all your options for seeing Elliott Brood play songs off last year's Mountain Meadows, earlier releases and maybe even some new material:
June 26-28 Smithers, BC @ Bulkley Valley Fall Fair Grounds (Midsummer Festival)
July 1 Victoria, BC @ Coast Capital Children's Festival Main Stage (Lesgislature Lawns, free)
July 3 Sudbury, ON @ Ramsey Lake (Northern Lights Festival Boreal)
July 18 London, ON @ Aeolian Hall (Home Country Folk Festival)
July 19 Detroit, MI @ The Alley Deck at The Magic Stick (3 p.m.)
Aug. 1-2 Happy Valley, OR @ Pendarvis Farm (Pickathon)
Aug. 7 Kitchener, ON @ Kitchener Blues Fest
Aug. 9 Toronto, ON @ Exhibition Place's Bandshell Park (Festival Of Beer)
Aug. 14-16 Salmon Arm, BC @ Salmon Arm Fair Grounds (Salmon Arm Roots And Blues Festival)
