Protest The Hero Releasing Live CD/DVD

Protest The Hero will release a live CD/DVD titled Gallop Meets The Earth through Underground Operations in Canada and Vagrant Records in the U.S. on Aug. 11.

PTH's sophomore full-length, Fortress, debuted at #1 on the Canadian sales chart in January 2008. It was nominated for a best rock album Juno Award this year. The prog-metal record's first single, "Blood Meat," will be available as a Guitar Hero download on Xbox Live on July 30.

Millar, vocalist Rody Walker, bassist/vocalist/lyricist Arif Mirabdolbaghi, guitarist Luke Hoskin and drummer Moe Carlson will announce North American tour dates shortly.

Millar will compete in this weekend's World Beard And Moustache Championships in Anchorage, Alaska as part of Beard Team Canada. Millar, who's been growing his beard for three years, will be competing in the "Alaskan Whaler" category.
