Lil Wayne's Rebirth Delayed Again

Lil Wayne's Rebirth

The release of Lil Wayne's rock album, Rebirth, has been pushed back again and now isn't scheduled to come out until July 21.

Rebirth was originally supposed to arrive in early April, and was then moved to May and then June. This latest delay is apparently to allow Universal Records time to get permission for all the samples used on the record, which will feature contributions from Canadians Avril Lavigne and rumoured Rihanna boy toy Aubrey "Drake" Graham, as well as Fall Out Boy and Lenny Kravitz.

"Prom Queen" was the first single from Lil Wayne's seventh solo effort, one that promises to be somewhat of a departure from what hip-hop fans have become accustomed to hearing from the rapper.

"Hot Revolver" was released via iTunes in March and "I'm Not Human," "In Your Face," "Fix My Hat" and the Gudda Gudda collaboration "Politics" are also expected to be on Rebirth. That last song can be heard here.

Another new track featuring the man born Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. also arrived on the internet this week. The sports-loving, drug-friendly, four-time 2009 Grammy Award winner is also featured on "Down" by Jaey Sean.

Lil Wayne's last album, Tha Carter III, had the most first-week sales of any album in the U.S. last year.

Reports are circulating that 24-year-old actress Lauren London (ATL, This Christmas) is pregnant with Wayne's child. If it's true, it would be her first. He has two other kids with two other women, including Antonia Johnson, whom he divorced in 2006.
