Blur Playing North America?

Blur may add North American dates to their current run of European festival appearances.

Live Nation U.K. VP Steve Homer told Billboard.com the band have "no plans" after their gigs at Scotland's T In The Park festival and Ireland's Oxegen Festival this July.

"They are talking about some American shows still in the same time frame," he said, noting that they're also considering some European shows.

"The appeal of Blur is so potentially big, with the band themselves, but also projects they have done since then and general interest in bands of that era."

Blur announced late last year that they'd reunite for a few shows this summer. They confirmed two sold-out shows at London, England's Hyde Park for early July and have added European festival dates.

Blur will release a double-disc best-of set titled Midlife: A Beginners Guide To Blur on June 15 through EMI in the U.K. The compilation will target those who are unfamiliar with the band and collects songs from their 1991 Leisure debut through 2003's Think Tank.
