Evaporators, Andrew W.K. Single Coming

The Evaporators and Andrew W.K.'s A Wild Pear seven-inch EP will be released on June 23 through Mint Records.

The single features W.K.'s versions of The Leather Uppers' "Don't Sell Hot Dogs Tonight" and The Subhumans' "Oh Canaduh," and The Evaporators doing "The Bombs In My Pants" and a cover of Les Hou-Loups' "Oh Non." There's also a minute-long interview with W.K. and Nardwuar The Human Serviette. It will be available on white vinyl or as a digital download via iTunes and Zunior.com.

The Evaporators and W.K. will hold a release party for A Wild Pear on June 23 at Vancouver's Biltmore Cabaret. They'll also play the city's Neptoon Records from 4 to 6 p.m. the same day and Edmonton's Avenue Theatre on June 27.

The Evaporators and Nardwuar's video vault will hit Calgary's Sled Island Music Festival on June 26. The band will also play a free in-store show at Edmonton's Megatunes at 6 p.m. the next day.
