An
AC/DC show in Munich, Germany drew complaints from people nearly 20 kilometres away who said it was too loud.
The band's show at Munich's Olympic Stadium on Friday received more than 100 noise complaints from as far away as Unterhaching, some 20 kilometres away, whose residents said the music was "overly loud," according to The Local website.
AC/DC have played shows that reached a volume of 132 decibels, according to the Music Radar website, so this isn't really surprising. Manowar claim to be the world's loudest band with a sound level of 139 decibels.
AC/DC have added an Aug. 10 gig at Ottawa's Scotiabank Place to their
North American tour. Downtown Ottawa residents and federal politicians should note this date and buy earplugs, since Scotiabank Place is located in Kanata, about 20 kilometres away from downtown. Don't say you weren't warned.
Tickets go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. and will run you $99.50. They'll be available through Ticketmaster, Live Nation, capitaltickets.ca, the Scotiabank Place box office, the Sens Store locations at the Rideau Centre and Place D'Orleans mall, and Sports Experts stores.
