Gwar Lust After Metal Blade

Gwar have resigned with Metal Blade Records for the August release of Lust In Space.

"The alliance of metal's most prestigious label and metal's most incredible band shall form an UberKlaw of ten-fold devastation," says Gwar lead singer Oderus Urungus on the band's website. "The world shall be forced to its knees in total submission to our confusing dominance!

"The release marks the 25th Anniversary of GWAR's thawing-out, and we proclaim a two-year celebration to herald this brain-melting event! Death to life! Up the Irish! GWAR is back on Metal Blade and bitter is their wrath!"

Urungus was apparently happy to start working on Lust In Space after growing weary of his other hobbies:

"For some time I have devoted my leisure activity to a long-cherished goal, that of fucking a living blue-whale. Many carcasses I had violated in search of this inane pleasure, and it was good, until I realized that once again The Masters was on.

"In recent years I have relished the rape and murder of international golfing celebrities at what is undoubtedly golf's most prestigious event. Despite the PGA's denial of my wrath (they only show heavily-edited footage), I recently descended on Augusta and left nothing but corpses in my wake. Indeed, Tiger Woods' butchered carcass was served at the Champions Banquet, and I made Fuzzy Zoeller eat it! And also my dick..."

Gwar will wreak havoc, fuck whales and golfers, and maybe even play some music at these shows:
