The Roots and Protest The Hero will headline the Cutting Edge Music Festival at Bingeman's Fun Park in Kitchener, Ont. on Aug. 1 and 2.
Protest The Hero will top the bill on Aug. 1, while The Roots and a surprise co-headliner to be announced in July will round out the next day. More than 50 acts — including Andrew W.K., The Bronx, Mixmaster Mike, Lady Sovereign, Thunderheist, Moneen and IllScarlett — will perform on two stages and in the dance warehouse.
Tickets go on sale on June 1 through Ticketmaster and will also be available through the Cutting Edge website when it relaunches.
One- and two-day early bird tickets can be purchased for $42.50 and $82.50 before July 1 and will cost $49.50 and $89.50 after that. One- and two-day passes will be available for $65 and $120 at the gate. Camping passes cost $50 in advance or $60 at the gate, and 400 VIP ticket packages are available for $270.
If you need help getting to Kitchener, shuttle buses will leave Toronto's Nathan Phillips Square on both days at 11 a.m. Tickets are available through Breakaway Tours.
Last year's Cutting Edge Music Festival was held in Grand Bend, Ont. and featured Alexisonfire, Arkells, IllScarlett, Poison The Well, The Flatliners and The Johnstones.
