Dark Night Of The Soul Details

Sparklehorse's Mark Linkous
More details have emerged about the project involving Danger Mouse, Sparklehorse's Mark Linkous, film director David Lynch (Mulholland Drive, Blue Velvet) and a slew of impressive guest contributors.

Dark Night Of The Soul is a 13-song album that will come with a book of photographs by Lynch (who also sings on the record) when it's released at an unspecified date in June. Just 5,000 copies will be released at a price of 39 British pounds (about $69 Canadian), according to NME.com.

The album was briefly streaming on the Chrysalismusic blog last week, but was removed. There are apparently no plans to issue it as a legal download.

An art installation featuring music and photos from Dark Night Of The Soul will run at Los Angeles' Michael Kohn Gallery from May 30 to July 11.
