Perry Farrell Injures Leg On Tour

Jane's Addiction singer Perry Farrell tore his calf muscle during the first song of the group's performance at the Lakewood Amphitheatre in Atlanta on Sunday night.

Farrell finished the show, which was only the third date of their early summer jaunt with Nine Inch Nails, and was taken by ambulance to the Atlanta Medical Center afterward. Doctors told him to stay off his leg for several days, but he plans to take the stage at the group's next gig in Austin, Texas on Tuesday.

Jane's Addiction are only performing songs off their first three albums on this tour and will play nothing from 2003's Strays since bassist Eric Avery, who has rejoined the band, didn't play on that album.

The group have posted studio versions of "Whores" and "Chip Away," which originally appeared on their self-titled 1987 live album, on the NIN/JA 2009 website. The songs were produced by NIN's Trent Reznor and Alan Moulder (Smashing Pumpkins, The Killers).
