Remember Trent Reznor's Radiohead diss last year? Well, it turns out he's not really a fan of Weezer's Rivers Cuomo or Prince's recent output either.
Reznor did an interview with the Digg website in April, but his fans were unsatisfied with it so he did a new webcam interview compiled of questions that fans left on the echoingthesound.org website and NIN.com.
"I'm not Prince or Rivers Cuomo who brags about having hundreds of great songs," he says in the near hour-long video interview when asked about unfinished material he has lying around.
"And to that I would say, Prince, if you have 100 great songs or 1,000, how about picking a few and putting them on your record, because your last several have sucked. Same for you, Rivers. I say that constructively, you know.
"I might be happy and engaged, but I can still be a prick."
Reznor announced his engagement this week to his girlfriend, Mariqueen Maandig, who sings for Los Angeles' West Indian Girl.
Reznor then mentions getting to a "pile of things" he's been wanting to do that he'll get to after Nine Inch Nails' tour concludes this summer, and says some of it is "software-based" and some is "storytelling-based."
Reznor looks like he's about to cry when he discusses Nine Inch Nails' upcoming hiatus, which will happen after the upcoming tour with Jane's Addiction and Street Sweeper Social Club and the European jaunt that will follow it.
Reznor says thoughts about relevancy and trying to keep Nine Inch Nails as something he feels "pure about" prompted his plans to take time off from touring.
"For my own mental health, I need to put more effort into being stationary and really trying to make Nine Inch Nails a precious thing," he says before emphasizing that NIN is "not done."
He later mentions a potential collaboration with TV On The Radio guitarist and producer Dave Sitek, which he'd like Sitek to produce.
"I'm trying not to become a parody of myself, and I need to think about things and I need to really kind of keep it cool," he continues about the hiatus.
"I watch my peers spin off into doing stupid shit to try to desperately stay relevant and cash in. You know, regardless of what you think of Nine Inch Nails, I know that I've always tried to do the best I could with it and I think I've always made the right choice and I knew when to say no."

I'm not supporting either River or Prince with this comment, but I'd say that NIN's recent musical output blow major chunks.
It's like the pot calling the kettle black here, Trentie
