Three New Guitar Hero Titles Coming In Fall

Activision Publishing's growing Guitar Hero franchise will add three new titles this fall: DJ Hero, Band Hero and Guitar Hero 5.
DJ Hero will carry on Guitar Hero's signature social game play with a focus on hip-hop, R&B, dance, electronica and Motown music styles. An all-new turntable controller will transform players into DJs who can create original mixes of songs by a variety of artists.
Band Hero will feature top 40 hits that are playable on guitar, drums, bass and microphone. It's expected to appeal to a younger demographic than Guitar Hero, but is based on the same concept.
Guitar Hero 5 follows the basic idea of previous releases and will give players the ability to drop in and out of songs and change band members, instruments and difficulty levels on the fly.
Artist and song information and specific release dates for the three games are still forthcoming.
Activision has also confirmed that the rumoured Guitar Hero: Van Halen is in production and should be released sometime in the second half of the year. No tracks have been confirmed, but the game's expected to feature guest tracks by Queen, Blink-182, Weezer, The Offspring, Queens Of The Stone Age and others.
