Slipknot Frontman Going Solo

Slipknot's Corey Taylor will play a solo acoustic set when the Sonisphere festival stops at Knebworth, England on Aug. 1 and 2.

Slipknot percussionist Shawn Crahan's Dirty Little Rabbits side project will also make their U.K. debut at the gig, which will also feature performances from Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, Alice In Chains, Avenged Sevenfold, the recently out-of-hiatus Fear Factory, Cancer Bats, Linkin Park, Machine Head, Lamb Of God and others. "It'll be the first show of its kind I've ever done in the U.K., and I think there are many fans who've waited long enough to see it," Taylor told NME.com.

"[Playing acoustic is] one of the greatest joys in the world to me and I cannot wait to get over there and share that with the fans."
