Kills Guitarist Allegedly Tosses Fan

The Kills' Monday night show at Brooklyn, N.Y.'s Music Hall Of Williamsburg was marred by a frightening incident during the band's encore.
Nothing seemed amiss until guitarist Jamie Hince noticed a man in the audience gesturing at him with two fingers, the British equivalent of the middle finger. The man moved closer to the stage and Hince allegedly began to prod him in the face with his guitar head in a seemingly playful manner. The man continued his offensive gesture, first with one hand, then with both.
Hince was apparently more offended than it initially seemed and forcefully grabbed the man by the shoulders and pulled him on stage, where the dazed heckler spread his arms in an attempt to hug lead vocalist Alison Mosshart. She quickly moved away and the stage crew moved in.
But Hince got to the man first and allegedly shoved him against a stack of speakers and threw him back into the audience. The man (who was later reported to be a French fan) laid on the floor unmoving until security escorted him out of the venue.
"I remember the guy getting knocked the fuck out and hurtled off the stage by Jamie—basically tossed over my shoulder," wrote Self-Titled Mag associate editor Aaron Richter, who witnessed the incident from the front row and helped boost the alleged victim onto the stage (when he assumed he and Hince were kidding around).
"Dude was crumpled in a heap on the floor, and I thought he was dead for a brief second."
Hince and Mosshart continued the encore, unfazed, with a cover of Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band's "Dropout Boogie."
Hince hasn't been arrested, but could potentially face an assault and battery charge if police believe it's warranted.
