Singer, songwriter, producer and technology nerd Gary Go has written several songs for his debut album using software applications downloaded to his iPhone, and he'll showcase his work when he opens three gigs for Take That at London, England's Wembley Stadium in early July.

The 24-year-old born Gary Baker essentially converted his iPhone into a four-track recording studio and used it to recreate guitars, drums, piano and a horn section. His debut single "Open Arms" will be released on May 11.

Take That's Gary Barlow heard some of Go's music and was intrigued enough to ask the musician to open for his group on July 1, 4 and 5 at the 90,000-person stadium. He'll be accompanied by a band, so every song won't feature a sole person pressing buttons on a palm-sized gadget.

"My biggest worry is that my phone will ring mid-song," Go told the Evening Standard newspaper.

Go wrote a song called "Superfuture" that he's debuting today (Tuesday) during a demonstration at London's Regent Street Apple Store.

"At this point, it's quite hard to think of something I don't use the phone for," Go said in the newspaper article. "For songwriters, it's an amazing tool as I always have it with me.

"I used to phone myself and leave messages to remember ideas. Now I can record real tracks in the park — it's great."

Remember iPod battles? We guess this means they'll soon be replaced by iPhone battles.
