Franz Ferdinand guitarist / keyboardist Nick McCarthy injured his foot and has had to sit while playing during the group's performances on their U.S. tour in support of Tonight: Franz Ferdinand, but everyone's making the best of it.
"I've bust my foot and it's driving me insane but the shows are brilliant," McCarthy posted in a diary entry on the band's website on Saturday. "Sitting around all day with my foot over my heart, to get the swelling down they tell me."
McCarthy's bandmates have helped keep the mood light and shot this video of the musician hobbling through the Colorado countryside on crutches, augmented with a soundtrack of classical vocalists Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli singing "Time To Say Goodbye":
Franz Ferdinand will release Blood, which features dub versions of songs from Tonight: Franz Ferdinand, on June 1.
The Glaswegian group have been sampling burger joints during their tour, and photos and reviews have been posted in their online diary. They'll keep eating through these dates:

McCarthy better be careful with that bare foot. It could be susceptible to a spider bite.
