There's lots of A/V news in the Great Lake Swimmers universe.
The Toronto band unveiled a live video for "Palmistry" yesterday (Monday) as part of something they're calling "The Legion Sessions." The band camped out at a Toronto area Royal Canadian Legion to record a bunch of songs in February, according to a MySpace blog post. Holy Fuck's Graham Walsh helped capture the sound of the performances, while the video was directed by Scott Cudmore.
Other Legion Sessions songs are expected to be doled out in bits and pieces over the coming months.

Great Lake Swimmers' "See You On The Moon" from 2005's See You On The Moon: Songs For Kids Of All Ages compilation is being used in a commerical for the 2010 Honda Insight hybrid car.
It seems to be part of an attempt to get indie kids or hippies into hybrid cars, since the commercial features a bunch of early 20-somethings pulling their Insights into a field for a music festival, unpacking their belongings and getting all summer fun-ish with blankets on the grass. You can see it below:
Great Lake Swimmers also unveiled the video for "Pulling On A Line" from the recently released Lost Channels. It's kind of bizarre, what with the kids in bunny suits running around lamps set up in the middle of a foggy forest. It also unfortunately looks a lot like Donnie Darko. Check it out:
