The Killers Return To Toronto

After recently selling out shows at Toronto's Massey Hall and Air Canada Centre, Las Vegas rock band The Killers will to return to the city on Sept. 6 to play The Molson Amphitheatre.

This means you can probably take their name off the rumoured participant list of the rumoured Virgin Festival Toronto dates.

While still supporting last year's Day & Age, The Killers are also working on their first DVD and a covers album.

"We've been kind of hounded about it for a while, and haven't really thought we were due for it yet, but I think it's time," drummer Ronnie Vannucci told Billboard.com about the DVD. "I think we're approaching the moment of DVD mass hysteria."

The Killers have been recording songs for their long-rumoured covers album, including Bright Eyes' “Four Winds,” Murray Head’s “One Night In Bangkok” and a Cyndi Lauper track.

"We have a couple in the can but I don't know when the hell we'll get it off the ground to release it," Vannucci said. "It's going to be one of those things that will be more fun for us than anybody else."
