We here at CHARTattack have been quite amused and fascinated by the plight of someone we've dubbed the "Naked Coachella Wizard."

For some reason, this guy decided it would be a good idea to go all Woodstock and strip out of his wizard costume at last weekend's Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival and go running about in his birthday suit.

The cops didn't really think it was appropriate and after they (and others) made several attempts to try and get the Naked Coachella Wizard to put his clothes back on, the dude got his ass tasered.

It's probably worth considering that north of the 49th parallel there's a public inquiry going into the death of Robert Dziekanski, a Polish immigrant who died on the floor of the Vancouver International Airport in October 2007 after being tasered five times by the RCMP.

Was it really necessary to taser the Naked Coachella Wizard? All he was doing was walking around in the buff.
