NXNE Lineup Expands

AIDS Wolf, Angela Desveaux, Burning Brides, Mika Miko, United Steel Workers Of Montreal and Woodpigeon are among the acts who've been added to the lineup for this year's North By Northeast music festival.

They join a lineup that already included Black Lips, No Age, Matt And Kim, Health, The King Khan & BBQ Show, Fake Blood and These Are Powers.

NXNE's music component runs from June 17 to 21 and will feature 500 acts from more than two dozen countries in 50 Toronto venues. More than 25 films will also be screened at the NFB Mediatheque as part of NXNE's film festival.

One-day wristbands for every showcase and film screening on Friday, Saturday or Sunday can be purchased for $25, which is what a five-day film festival wristband costs. Five-day wristbands for concerts and films cost $50.
