A cross-dressing male musician named Marilyn claims he was in a relationship with former Bush singer/guitarist Gavin Rossdale for five years.
Marilyn (real name Peter Robinson) told In Touch Weekly magazine he and Rossdale were together in the early '80s.
In Touch reports allegations first surfaced when Boy George claimed the two musicians had been lovers in his 1995 biography, Take It Like A Man.
"I wasn't dating Marilyn," Rossdale said at the time, according to the magazine. "We were, and still are, good friends."
Marilyn also denied the two had been a couple, but now says he only did it because Rossdale's band was beginning to attract attention in the U.S. The 46-year-old, who had a #1 hit in Japan with "Calling Your Name" in 1983 and contributed to Band Aid's "Do They Know It's Christmas?" a year later, says Rossdale was "the love of my life."
"I agreed to lie against every grain of my being," Marilyn told In Touch Weekly.
"We were together five years, but it felt like 40."
A representative for Rossdale has denied that the singer had a romance with Marilyn.
Rossdale, 43, married No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani in 2002. The couple have two young children, Kingston and Zuma. He's also the father of fashion designer Pearl Lowe's daughter, Daisy.
Rossdale released his debut solo album, Wanderlust, last year. He's touring in support of it and can be seen here:
