Franz Ferdinand Go Dub With Blood

Franz Ferdinand will release Blood, which features dub versions of songs from Tonight: Franz Ferdinand, on June 1.

Blood was mixed by Dan Carey (Lee "Scratch" Perry, Mad Professor), who also produced Tonight: Franz Ferdinand.

"What you're hearing is Franz Ferdinand through Dan's filter," singer Alex Kapranos told NME.com. "There's a lot of his personality in there and a lot of his own experimentation, too."

Blood was originally packaged in the deluxe and box set versions of the Scottish band's most recent album, which was released in January. This new version includes a new song called "Be Afraid" and a different version of "Dream Again" that didn't appear on the original release.

Five hundred vinyl copies of Blood were made available in independent record stores in the U.K. on April 18 to commemorate Record Store Day.
