Green Day Take 21st Century Breakdown On The Road

Green Day will tour North America this summer in support of their eighth studio album, 21st Century Breakdown.

Venues have yet to be announced for the jaunt, which will run through July and August and hit seven Canadian cities. Green Day are expected to head to Europe after the North American tour.

21st Century Breakdown will be issued on May 15 through Reprise. First single "Know Your Enemy" was released on Thursday, and you can hear a 90-second clip of the song on Green Day's MySpace page.

21st Century Breakdown was produced by Butch Vig (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins) and centres on a young couple. It's divided into three acts: Heroes And Cons, Charlatans And Saints and Horseshoes And Handgrenades.
