Black Lips Coming To NXNE

Black Lips, No Age, Health, Matt And Kim, These Are Powers, Fake Blood and The King Khan & BBQ Show are the first artists confirmed for June's North By Northeast music festival.
NXNE's music component will run from June 17 to 21 and feature 500 acts from two dozen countries in 50 Toronto venues.
NXNE will also feature more than 25 movies at the NFB Mediatheque as part of its film festival. They include Eternity Man by director Julien Temple (The Great Rock And Roll Swindle, Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten) and Till You're Told To Stop: James Blunt, I Need That Record: The Death (Or Possible Survival) Of The Independent Record Store, Rush: Backstage Secrets, Hori Smoku Sailor Jerry, Dylusions Of Grandeur and Let Them Know: The Story Of Youth Brigade And BYO Records.
A three-day music conference and trade show at the Hyatt Regency Toronto will cater to musicians and people in the music business. It will also feature a stage for daytime performances.
Do Make Say Think, Final Fantasy's Owen Pallett and German experimental
electronic musician Robert Lippok will create a live soundtrack for a
pre-NXNE free screening of the 1919 silent horror film Tales Of The Uncanny in Yonge-Dundas Square on June 11 in conjunction with the Luminato festival.
One-day wristbands for all showcases and film screenings on either Thursday, Friday or Saturday can be purchased for $25, the same price as a five-day film festival wristband. A five-day wristband for concerts and films costs $50.
A priority pass that gives holders higher level access to all music, film and conference sessions goes for $150, while a $250 VIP super pass entitles high rollers to pre-book up to 10 showcases, invitations to the NXNE press conference and opening and closing parties, a delegate bag and the same access to events as priority pass holders.
