Jack White Update

The Dead Weather — the new band featuring Jack White, The Kills' Alison Mosshart, Queens Of The Stone Age's Dean Fertita and The Raconteurs and Greenhornes' Jack Lawrence — made their public live debut with a 12-song set at New York City's Bowery Ballroom on Tuesday night.
Mosshart fronts the band and White plays drums, but he also sang on a few tracks on Tuesday, according to Spinner.com. Fertita plays guitar, while Lawrence handles bass. The group played a private party in Nashville last month.
The Dead Weather's Horehound debut is set to be released on June 9 through White's Third Man Records. White produced the 11-track album at his Third Man Studio in Nashville.
"We thought it'd just be a seven-inch and we'd go back to work at our respective jobs," White told the Self-Titled website. "Then we started writing a couple things and had another session.
"Then Alison came back from the end of her last tour, and we were like, 'Why don't you come back and finish this song? We're doing a bunch more.' Dean was in town, and it was like, 'Wow, this is turning into another band.'
"Why is it working? I don't know. I know why it worked for me: I was on drums, finally. I'd been waiting so long to play drums again."
"There was nothing written down," Mosshart added. "It was just recorded as we were making it up."
As if this wasn't enough, White told Self-Titled that he's producing "four or five records right now." These include works from Mildred and Rachelle Garniez and "other pretty big records" he said he couldn't talk about.
White said The White Stripes will release a film sometime this year through Third Man Films. He'll mix all the music, which will consist of "like 40 songs." There's no word on when it will come out.
Here are the songs on Horehound:
"60 Feet Tall"
"Hang You From The Heavens"
"I Cut Like A Buffalo"
"So Far From Your Weapon"
"Treat Me Like Your Mother"
"Rocking Horse"
"New Pony"
"Bone House"
"Three Birds"
"No Hassle Night"
"Will There Be Enough Water?"
