Buck 65: Eminem Doesn't Rap Properly

Buck 65 will take a break from his day job as the host of CBC Radio 2's Radio 2 Drive show this month to play some shows and demonstrate how to rap properly.

The man born Rich Terfry posted a message in the Love Letters section of his website on Wednesday declaring one of his "major pet-peeves" with the likes of Eminem and Outkast's Andre 3000 and Big Boi:

"It drives me nuts when rappers can't figure out how to rap over a beat with a 3/4 time signature. It's a fairly common thing and it sounds so terrible when people mess it up. I just heard the new Eminem song and he's guilty of this musical faux pas. He makes the mistake most rappers make - he tries to force a 4/4 flow over a 3/4 beat and it just sounds messy because he's not hitting the beats properly...

"And on the Outkast song 'Whole World,' everyone screws it up until Killer Mike comes on and shows everyone how it's done to spectacular effect.

"It's amazing that 'top' rappers like Eminen and Andre and Big Boi weren't able to figure it out. Maybe I'm the only one who picks up on this kind of thing, but it truly drives me crazy."
