Metric Add Western Canada Acoustic Shows

Metric will play five private acoustic shows in western Canada later this month to promote Last Gang Records' newly released Fantasies.

Fans can win tickets through the Metric website, where you'll receive a free download of the acoustic version of the group's "Help, I'm Alive" single. The band will also randomly award tickets to people from each city who pre-ordered Fantasies directly from the site.

The third way to gain entry to the shows is through the partner radio station in each city: Curve 94.3 FM in Winnipeg; Sonic 102.9 FM in Edmonton; X92.9 FM in Calgary; The Peak in Vancouver; and The Zone 91.3 FM in Victoria.

Metric will perform and sign autographs at Toronto's 333 Yonge St. HMV superstore from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today (Thursday). They'll play a show at Ottawa's Live 88.5 Lounge on Sunday and Toronto's Mod Club in partnership with Edge 102.1 on April 14. The group will also perform and sign autographs at Montreal's 1321 Sainte-Catherine St. W. Apple Store at 8 p.m. on April 16.
