Kaiser Chiefs Vs. Oasis Feud Returns

Kaiser Chiefs have reignited a feud with Oasis' Noel Gallagher, who compared the band to The Monkees and claimed he didn't like them last year.

"We have no time for him," Kaiser Chiefs guitarist Andrew "Whitey" White recently said of "bitter old man" Gallagher in U.K. tabloid The Sun.

"Music is an art but he doesn’t appreciate music for what it is."

"Oasis have disappeared up their own arse," Kaiser Chiefs singer Ricky Wilson told The Sun last May. "They think they are Led Zeppelin. They're not."

Chiefs drummer Nick Hodgson kept things going last August when he said Gallagher criticizes other bands every time Oasis release a new single or album to try and generate publicity for it.

"When I was 17 and Noel was going on about Blur I was watching it, and now I'm 30 and he's 50 and he's talking about us, it's brilliant,” Hodgson told BBC Newsbeat.

Kaiser Chiefs will play England's Reading Festival on Aug. 28 and the Leeds Festival two days later. Wilson says his band will also be the opening act for Green Day's still unannounced North American summer tour.
