Gossip Make Music For Men

Gossip's major label debut will be called Music For Men when it arrives in stores on June 22 through Columbia.

Singer Beth Ditto, guitarist/bassist Brace Paine and drummer Hannah Blilie recorded the disc at Shangri La studio in Malibu, Calif. with producer Rick Rubin (System Of A Down, Johnny Cash). No track list has been announced, but the disc will include first single "Heavy Cross," which will be released June 15.

"There's a shit-load of love songs in there," Ditto told NME.com about Music For Men. "Writing down the tracklisting, we had about 14 songs and seven had the word 'love' in the title. I had no idea I was so romantic."

Ditto, Paine and original drummer Kathy Mendonca formed Gossip in 1999 and released their That's Not What I Heard debut in 2001. It was followed by 2003's Movement and their 2006 Standing In The Way Of Control breakthrough, which was certified gold in the U.K. for selling 100,000 copies.

Gossip plan to tour in support of Music For Men, but no dates have been announced.
