Acid-wash jean-wearing MILFs may still think they're hot, but New Jersey's second favourite rock band will premiere
Bon Jovi: When We Were Beautiful as a work in progress at New York City's Tribeca Performing Art Center on April 29.
The documentary features concert footage from
Bon Jovi's 2008
Lost Highway world tour and interviews with band members
Jon Bon Jovi, guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan and drummer Tico Torres, while offering an overview of their 25-year career — though we doubt it delves into
baby stroller design, defensive driving skills for
golf carts or
fan etiquette. It was directed by Phil Griffin (Basement Jaxx, Estelle) and produced by @radical.media.
The movie will also screen on April 30 and May 2 as part of the April 22 to May 3 Tribeca Film Festival.
Jon Bon Jovi is no stranger to the festival, nor to films. The 47-year-old singer performed at Tribeca's opening night two years ago and has acted in such movies as
Cry Wolf,
Pay It Forward and
U-571.
