Win With Weakerthans Before Whitehorse

The Weakerthans and Constantines' Rolling Tundra Revue tour will be extended by a day in a place that knows its tundra: Whitehorse, Yukon.

The bands will play Coasters Bar & Grill on May 5 following a performance at the city's Yukon Arts Centre the night before. The $20 tickets go on sale at the venue on Friday.

The Weakerthans will donate a portion of their ticket sale revenues to Macdonald Youth Services when they play their hometown of Winnipeg on April 17 and 18. The organization helps families and children throughout Manitoba, and fans can do their part to help by buying raffle tickets in support of MYS.

The grand prize is an Epiphone G310 guitar, donated by Gibson Guitars, that will be autographed by The Weakerthans and played by John K. Samson during their two shows in Winnipeg.

An early bird prize package including two tickets to The Weakerthans/Constantines/Oh Susanna concert at the Burton Cummings Theatre on April 17, dinner for two, limousine service to the show, and a meet and greet with the band will also be given away.

Tickets are two bucks each and can be purchased from the MYS offices at 175 Mayfair Avenue and 226 St. Mary's Road in Winnipeg, as well as the CityTV studios at The Forks and the University Of Winnipeg information booth. MYS will also sell them at the community booth in front of Appelt's Jewellers in the St. Vital Centre from April 13 to 15.

Winners will be notified by phone on April 16 for the early bird prize and April 19 for the grand prize.
