Zooey Deschanel Vs. Katy Perry

Zooey Deschanel is tired of people thinking she's Katy Perry.
The two ladies look alike, and it probably doesn't help that Deschanel
— who began her career as an actress and entered the music business as one half of She & Him last year — is a singer, like Perry.
"The only similarity that we have is that we look a little bit alike,"
Deschanel told MTV News. "I have met her before. She seems like a nice
person. I'm happy that she's famous enough now that she's not going out
and being mistaken for me.
"I used to get, 'I heard you were out at such-and-such club drinking
whiskey!' [when] I was at home watching TV. I think we lead very
different lives. At some point I feel like this will stop being a
thing. I like the way my life goes. It's sort of strange to be
associated with someone that's doing such different stuff than me. It's
weird."
Perry began her career in 2001 as a 15-year-old church singer in Nashville, while Deschanel made her screen debut with 1999's Mumford.
The musical and professional differences are kind of obvious, and the two
don't even really have similar fashion senses — or taste in men. (Perry dated Gym Class Heroes' Travis McCoy last year, while Deschanel is currently engaged to Death Cab For Cutie's Ben Gibbard.)
And let's be honest:
you'll probably never see Deschanel emerge from a giant banana on
stage.
She & Him don't have any dates on the horizon because M. Ward, the
duo's other half, is touring in support of his recently released Hold Time.
If you can't handle this and want to see someone who at least
physically resembles Deschanel, you can see Perry, who's still touring
