Canadians Abound At Great Escape Fest

Nearly 20 Canadian acts will play Brighton, England's The Great Escape festival from May 14 to 16.

The fourth edition of the festival will feature these Canadian acts: Arkells, The Acorn, Beast, Brian Borcherdt, Dan Mangan, Duchess Says, Hey Rosetta!, Holy Fuck, LIGHTS, Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland, Metric, Rebekah Higgs and her Ruby Jean & The Thoughtful Bees project, We Are Wolves, Wintersleep and Woodpigeon.

They'll be among 300 musical acts that will take over 34 Brighton venues during the three days. The lineup also includes Patrick Wolf, Ben Kweller, British Sea Power, Dan Auerbach and Lightspeed Champion. More information is available on The Great Escape's website.

Tickets are on sale through the festival's website, four Brighton record stores and the Brighton Dome. Festival saver tickets, which get you into all of the gigs (subject to each venue's capacity) will run you 45 British pounds (about $82 Canadian). Artist village tickets, which get you into the festival's artist village and all the shows, cost 65 pounds. If you're an industry type, delegate passes will run you 150 pounds.
