Pete Doherty recently wanted to get "Wasteland" tattooed on his butt as a homage to T.S. Eliot's 1922 poem, "The Waste Land."
But things didn't go as planned, according to the U.K.'s Daily Star tabloid, which reported that Doperty found the pain so excruciating that he made the tattoo artist stop halfway through. This meant only "waste" was written on his ass. There's something he'll regret when he's 60, if he lives that long.

Doperty's Grace/Wastelands solo debut came out on March 24 under the name Peter Doherty.
