The Stills, Bison B.C., Priestess, Jets Overhead, Beast and Socalled will be part of the second annual transmitLIVE China tour from April 28 to May 5.
TransmitLIVE is part of the four-day TransmitCHINA conference that works to strengthen the relationship between the Chinese and Canadian music industries. The tour will see the artists showcase their music in Beijing, Shanghai, Zhenjiang and Shenzhen for more than 1,000 Chinese music fans.
"China is emerging as a force to be reckoned with in the global music community and it's no longer a question of if, but of when and how fast," says TransmitCHINA founder and executive producer Tyl Van Toorn. "TransmitCHINA is a unique opportunity for Canada to develop strong business connections and showcase one of its most powerful creative resources to a market that is just beginning to come of age."
Woodhands, You Say Party! We Say Die!, Buck 65, Daniel Wesley and Champion were part of the inaugural TransmitCHINA festival. You can read a feature article about Woodhands' experiences in China here.
