Courtney Love has been hit with a six-count lawsuit launched by an Austin, Texas fashion designer who claims the eccentric singer, songwriter, musician, actress and MySpace blog addict is trying to ruin her career and defame her.
Dawn Simorangkir filed the 22-page lawsuit on Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court and is accusing Love of libel, invasion of privacy-false light, intentional interference with a prospective economic advantage, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and two breaches of contract.
Simorangkir claims Love approached her last year about designing clothes for her, and even flew Simorangkir and her husband to L.A. Their differences apparently arose in February after Simorangkir asked to be paid for a custom-made dress Love had ordered.
This set Love off on some of her infamous online rants about Simorangkir and Etsy.com, a website for artists selling handmade goods that Simorangkir used to peddle her Boudoir Queen designs.
In between blogging about all the fake Cobains floating around the U.S., Love posted a couple of screeds on her MySpace blog about Simorangkir on March 17. Scroll down to that date and you'll find someone apparently didn't have fun on St. Patrick's Day.
Simorangkir described herself as "the latest victim of Love's volatile personality, hair trigger temper, and malicious torturous behavior."
She claims in the suit Love called her a "drug addict and dealer," a "horrible lying bitch" and "an asswipe nasty lying hosebag thief" who'll "end up in a circle of [s]corched earth hunted til your dead" as part of an "obsessive and delusional crusade to terrorize and destroy" her.
