Arcade Fire's "Wake Up" is used as the backing music for the theatrical trailer of Academy Award-nominated director Spike Jonze's forthcoming Where The Wild Things Are.
The long-delayed film is based on Maurice Sendak's popular 1963 children's book of the same name and is expected to hit theatres on Oct. 16.
Jonze (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation) first made a name for himself as a music video director, and he oversaw the 2004 "Y Control" clip for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. That group's singer, Karen O, worked on the Where The Wild Things Are soundtrack with composer Carter Burwell. Deerhunter's Bradford Cox reportedly contributed to the film's music as well.
