Suge Knight Lackeys Rob Akon Employee

An unsettled debt between former Death Row Records owner Marion "Suge" Knight and hip-hop artist Akon is said to be behind an apparent robbery at the Van Nuys, Calif. home of one of Akon's employees last night.

Christopher Walker, who works for Akon's producer Detail, told TMZ that five men with firearms broke into his home around 3 a.m. The men claimed that Detail owed Knight money and they were there to collect on his behalf.

Detail, who was asleep in one of the bedrooms, Walker's brother and a sound engineer were also in the house at the time of the robbery. Walker says the robbers put a gun to his head and forced him to the floor.

The men allegedly entered Detail's bedroom and stole $170,000 worth of jewellery. Walker claims they demanded a key to a safe and said they'd kill all four people in the house if they didn't get it. It turned out to be an empty threat, since they never got the key and instead opted to take the 60-kilogram safe with them.

The robbers allegedly also took stereo equipment and a key to a Mercedes. Walker claims they made off with more than $200,000, while a police source told TMZ that the amount is closer to $300,000.

There were no injuries reported, and Walker claims he and the others were "just scratched up."

Walker says the feud began last month during the NBA all-star game weekend in Arizona when Knight was allegedly punched twice in the face by Akon's business manager. He claims that incident and the robbery are both connected to the same alleged debt.

No arrests have been made.
