Free Marilyn Manson Song On Friday

You'll be able to hear "We're From America" from Marilyn Manson's upcoming seventh studio album, The High End Of Low, when the shock rocker makes the track available as a free download on his website this Friday.

The track will be available as a digital single on April 7, but it's not the first official single from The High End Of Low. That's "Arma-Damn-Mother Fuckin'-Geddon," which will be called "Arma... geddon" so it can be played on the radio beginning April 13.

"I think my life definitely ended and began," Manson says of making the album. "The record sounds very final, but it's almost optimistic — though that feels like a strange word to use.

"It's a phoenix from the fire and a redemption resurrection."

The High End Of Low is Manson's follow-up to 2007's Eat Me, Drink Me and his first record with bassist Twiggy Ramirez since 2000's Holy Wood (In The Shadow Of The Valley Of Death). It still doesn't have a definite track list.

"I wrote all the lyrics on the wall of my room," Manson said in a statement, according to St. Paul, Minn. radio station 93X FM. "It wasn't to be decorative; it was one of those things, like it's the last thing someone sees before they put them somewhere else. I think it looks good.

"And if anyone wants to come into this room and fornicate with me, I think they are a keeper... and when I say keeper, I mean kidnapping.

"I am probably going to do most of the press for the record from my house, before I leave or destroy it, because you can see the story and what the record is made from within the house."

We at CHARTattack are going to pass on fornicating with Manson, but we'd accept a press junket trip to check out his pad and drink his absinthe.
