Taking Back Sunday Are New Again

Taking Back Sunday will release their fourth album, New Again, on June 2 via Warner, and have announced European and North American tour dates that will keep them on the road from April 'til the end of June.

The follow-up to 2006's Louder Now was produced by David Kahne (Sublime, The Strokes) in New York. It's the first album with guitarist/vocalist Matt Fazzi, who replaced Fred Mascherino in 2008.

"Matt has brought new life to Taking Back Sunday. He is the push we needed to break through some walls this time around," vocalist Adam Lazzara told Paste Magazine last October, when the band were in the studio.

"On this record, we challenged ourselves to write the best songs we possibly could while trying new things in an effort to push the envelope in terms of what it means to sound like Taking Back Sunday," said bassist Matt Rubano.

"I think this record has an honesty and an urgency that we haven't achieved before."

The New York quintet will begin their North American tour in May and will have Anberlin and Envy On The Coast in tow. Pre-sale tickets are available until 10 p.m. tonight (March 20) with a special offer: every pair of tickets purchased will include a digital download of New Again, which will become available "the minute it comes out."

Regular ticket sales start on March 21 at 10 a.m. local time, except for the shows in Cleveland, Cincinnati and Vancouver, which are on sale now.
