Mays Nixed American Tour

Matt Mays & El Torpedo
Matt Mays & El Torpedo were forced to nix the remaining four dates of their U.S. tour, beginning Wednesday night in Philadelphia and running through March 21 in New York City. No clear reason was given for the shows being axed.

"A series of events took place in our lives that consequently lead to postponing the rest of the shows," Mays wrote on the band's website on March 16. "We're all healthy and getting along great, but unfortunately we were left having [to] hold off on any further touring. We will be returning with guns blazing before too long, and we hope to see you all there.

"Thank you for your understanding, and devotion to this band. We realize that it has been an inconvenience. See you soon folks, Take good care."

Mays and El Torpedo are touring behind their latest album Terminal Romance, which is nominated for a best rock album Juno Award.

There's no word if or when the four U.S. dates will be made up.

These were the remaining U.S. dates for Matt Mays & El Torpedo:

March 18 Philadelphia, PA @ North Star Bar
March 19 Washington, DC @ DC 9
March 20 State College, PA @ Zeno's Pub
March 21 New York, NY @ Pianos
